Today I learned that Kamppi’s metro entrance (a popular meeting place) actually has an official title which is “Gekko”. It’s funny to me because during the ~8 years of it’s existence I’ve never heard anyone call it Gekko. Everyone calls it Kusari.
Kusari is a shortened form of kusi-iglu, which is Finnish for “piss igloo”
This is why I love my language
that’s so fitting, oh my god. I was, I suppose, too young to come to call it that when it was constructed, though, it’s always been the ear of corn to me.
